Tesla, Nissan, & Ford Receive U.S Loans for Electric Car Development

Tesla has been granted $465m in loans from the Department of Energy’s Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing program. $100m will be used to fund an electric powertrain manufacturing facility that will sell parts like motors and battery packs to other carmakers.

Nissan received $1.6b (billion) to build batteries and EVs in Tennessee and Ford received 5.9b (billion).

  5. I’m all for eco friendly cars and what not, but most of the card produced look ugly! Land Rover are supposed to be developing an electric Land Rover, at least that’s what I heard.

    I don’t understand why they don’t make normal looking cars, but make them more eco friendly.
